Our celebration will be in Würzburg, Germany, a charming wine city in northern Bavaria known for its riverside views, vineyards, and baroque architecture. All ceremony and reception details are listed on the Schedule page.
We love that so many of you want to share this special trip! However, since we’re hosting a small and intimate celebration, our guest list is limited to those named on your invitation.
Wedding Day: Theme: Vintage Royalty. Formal attire. Think elegant floor-length dresses and suits with ties. The ceremony will be in a Catholic Church so consider a shawl or coverup. Welcome Party: Casual Festival Events: Würzburg and Bavaria are famous for their summer wine and cultural festivals. You’re welcome to wear your normal travel clothes, or join in the fun by wearing traditional Bavarian attire — a dirndl or lederhosen if you’d like! Sunday “Beach Funday”: Casual summer wear. Think light, airy, and fun — sundresses, swimsuits, shorts, or anything you’d wear to relax and soak up the sun.
We recommend arriving by Thursday, July 2, 2026, to settle in and join us for the welcome festivities! Most guests will depart later on Sunday, July 5, or Monday morning, July 6, but feel free to stay longer to enjoy the city and surrounding vineyards.
Near the Würzburg city center. Many guests and the wedding party are staying at the Maritim Hotel Würzburg, right on the river and close to the city center. However, feel free to book an airbnb nearby if that works better for you or your group.
Taxis: Call +49 931 19410 or find them at major hotels and the train station. Uber: Available in Würzburg. Wedding Day Shuttles: We’ll provide transportation to and from the wedding venue. Details and times will be posted here closer to the date.
The easiest international arrival point is Frankfurt Airport (FRA) — from there it’s about 1 hour 15 minutes by train directly to Würzburg Hbf (main station). You can also fly into Munich (MUC), roughly 2.5 hours by train; or Nuremberg (NUE), roughly 1.5 hours by train. German trains are efficient, clean, and scenic. We recommend booking through bahn.com for schedules and tickets.
Yes, you can send money gifts through Zelle to (818) 536-1864 or through Venmo: @Neil-Arnett-2
Currency: The euro (€) is used throughout Germany. Credit cards are accepted widely, though some small cafés prefer cash. Language: Most people in Würzburg speak some English, but “Danke” (thank you) and “Bitte” (please/you’re welcome) always go a long way! Phones: If you plan to use your phone, check your carrier’s international plan or buy a short-term eSIM on arrival. I recommend using WhatsApp. Weather: July is warm and sunny — typically 75–85°F (24–29°C).
