What started as a few kids spending time together in ag class and at the Benton Central FFA Auction turned into a story neither of them saw coming. Mercedes and Max met at Benton Central High School, where long days, shared responsibilities, and plenty of laughs brought them together—especially while serving as Co-Vice Presidents of the Benton Central FFA Officer Team. From early mornings to late nights, a friendship slowly grew into an unexpected high school sweetheart love story. Together, they weathered college and the start of their careers, growing up side by side through life’s changes. Along the way, they’ve pushed each other to work harder, dream bigger, and become better people—both together and on their own. Built on shared roots, hard work, and a whole lot of love, their journey is just getting started.
