FAQs

The Wedding Website of Mercedes Shute and Limandre Matias
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The vibe is cocktail attire. Think polished, fun, and dance-floor-ready. Dresses, jumpsuits, suits. Whatever makes you feel flyyy (and photo-worthy). The spring equinox is the day before, so spring colors and floral patterns would be great! It’s really your preference.🌸 Color wise though, please avoid white, green, and champagne.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Please check your invitation to see if a plus-one was included. If you don’t see an extra number listed, it means we’re limited due to our guest count.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your kiddos, our celebration will be mostly adults-only due to our guest count. We’re making a few exceptions for close family children and members of the wedding party. Thank you for understanding, and for enjoying a well-deserved night out!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 2:30 PM — please plan to arrive about 20–30 minutes early to grab parking, a seat, and get settled before we say “I do!” Please keep in mind that our ceremony is in a church.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Absolutely! Snap away and share the love — just be mindful of our photographer/videographers and our Priest during his sermon by putting your phone away during the big moments.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve listed some nearby hotels on our Travel page to make planning easy. We highly recommend staying at a hotel, if you're going to be drinking.

Question

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes! Come hungry and ready to celebrate — there’ll be great food and drinks! We ask that you please drink responsibly and have fun!

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes! There will be on-site parking for our reception, and rideshares are always a good move if you plan on enjoying a few drinks. Our ceremony has a parking lot behind the church, as well as street parking so please arrive early for that.

Question

Will there be a Money Dance?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be honoring a cultural wedding tradition called the Money Dance. Guests are invited to join us on the dance floor and pin money on the bride and groom as a way of wishing us prosperity and good fortune in our marriage. If you’d like to participate, bringing small bills is helpful, but it’s completely optional.

Question

What time does the party end?

Answer

When our feet give out or the DJ says goodnight... whichever comes first! We can’t wait to dance the night away with everyone! #HolyMatriMatias ❤️
