They met in mid-March 2025 at a Munch & Mingle after church in the Orem YSA 1st Ward. What started as a casual conversation quickly turned into something special as they talked about their missions, discovered a shared connection to the Philippines, and bonded over their mutual love of books. When the Munch & Mingle ended, they realized they had not exchanged contact information. Not ready to let the moment slip away, she found him on the ward Facebook page and sent a friend request, and he messaged her the very next day. Their first date followed in early April, and just weeks later, on her birthday, May 2nd, he left for summer sales in Minnesota. Distance only made their connection stronger, and later that month, he asked her to be his girlfriend. After two months of long-distance, he returned home in July. Even after driving all night, his first stop was her house. In November 2025, they got engaged and now cannot wait to celebrate their wedding in March 2026 as they begin their forever together.
