We met back in high school. 10th grade year. In Mr. Daniel’s Spanish class. I was the loud, confident, vivacious black beauty in the front, and Jeff was the quiet and laid back white boy in the back. He had a crush on me. I had no idea! I remember I would talk to him every now and then just as a friendly classmate. But little did I know, my occasional hand waves and “Hey Jeffs” when I saw him around school would lead him to telling his friends that I liked him and that we were basically dating. Lol—My sweet baby! 16 years later, after we’d both lived separate lives, we reconnected at the movies. And the rest is history. A year later, we’re getting married.
