After graduation, we took the plunge and moved into our first apartment together, armed with little more than a sense of adventure and a mischievous cat named Oliver. We decided to expand our little family and welcomed Clyde, our energetic cocker spaniel, into the mix. Suddenly, our apartment was filled with even more love, chaos, and fur than before. As we settled into our new routine, the idea of a fresh start in a new area began to peak our interest. So, with hearts full of excitement and nervous anticipation, we packed up our lives and moved to Philadelphia, ready to embrace whatever adventures awaited us. And then, after six years of laughter, tears, and everything in between, we took the plunge and got engaged in a classic sitcom-style plot twist, Andrew threw me for a loop with the proposal. I thought it was going to happen during our trip to San Diego, but little did I know, he had a different plan up his sleeve. Picture this: I come home from work in my scrubs, exhausted and ready to collapse on the couch, only to find the hallway lit up with tea lights leading me to our apartment. As I walked in, I was greeted by the sight of Andrew holding a “Marry Me” sign, surrounded by more tea lights and our furry companions eagerly wagging their tails.
