Question

COVID & Safety

Answer

For everyone’s safety, especially our multiple severely immunocompromised friends and family in attendance, we are asking all guest to take a COVID test within 24 hours of attending the wedding and mask on flights/trains/etc on the way here. The wedding will be outdoors, but we will provide masks to use for the indoor bathroom to keep our friends’ house exposure free. Thank you for helping us keep each other safe, and feel free to reach out with any questions on COVID safety.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress however makes you feel good! Seriously. If you want more guidance: The wedding will be outdoors (with tents) in the New England fall. Stable shoes and layers are recommended. Loose dress code is “Fall Garden Attire”. We will be wearing red as part of the Chinese-American fusion. Traditionally, it is rude or unlucky to wear solid red, white, or black but accents in those colors are perfectly appropriate. However, we aren’t sticklers for tradition so get as creative as you’d like.

Question

Does that mean I can’t wear any red, black, or white?

Answer

No! Patterns and accents of those colors are totally fine, we just advise against wearing head-to-toe solid versions of any of those colors. Our priority is everyone feeling comfortable. It’s a little weird if you roll up in your own wedding dress, but we will be glad to celebrate with you no matter what you wear.

Question

Accessibility

Answer

The ceremony and dinner will be outdoors in a lawn tent, with cocktail hour on a stone patio. In between there is a gravel path. Bathroom will be indoors up 2/3 steps depending on the entrance used. The seats will be folding chairs without arms. If you have access needs we don’t know about please let us know!
