A 1.5 mile long trail located just off Route 23. The trail provides access to the beautiful Batavia Kill stream and contains five bridges. The path meanders through fields, woodlands and streams and provides fantastic views of the Catskill Mountains. The trail is great for leisurely walking and bicycling!

The Big Deep Swimming Hole is on NY-212 in Woodstock, NY. The GPS coordinates are 42.037238,-74.099532. Head out of downtown Woodstock on NY-212 E/Mill Hill road for about a mile. The entrance is on the right, immediately after the private Casablanca Lane. It looks like a trail into the woods marked off with a barrel on each side.
The local swimming hole with the deepest, clear blue water. In the middle of Sundown Wild Forest. Take RT 28A towards West Shokan. In two miles you will come to the intersection of RT 28A and RT 42 in West Shokan. Turn right onto RT 42, toward Sundown. Drive ten miles along RT 42 until you see a parking area on the right handside with a sign for the Peekamoose Mountain area. Park here and cross the road to the creek, where you will need to walk back the way you came about 30 seconds. You will see an entrance to a short path alongside the creek. The swimming hole is hiding at the end of the path. You now need a free day permit to access this swimming hole.
