Covid Travel Restrictions

Please be advised to check that your specific travel plans/country of origin/airlines you fly with, etc all agree to the same rules (just prep the most restrictive as precaution). So be sure to book a Covid test in advance from a pharmacy website or call them (most pharmacists speak English). Please be advised to check updated forms and rules the week AND day of your flight! In Dec the Covid rules and forms changed the day that we traveled out of TX and again during our connection in London as we traveled to Paris. Not saying this to scare you but to know to do your research and be ready to adapt!

Flight

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

Remember to arrive at the airport 2 - 3 hrs minimum before your flight and I recommend 2 - 3hr layovers internationally to go through their checks as you switch planes. If your connection is under this time be prepared with a backup plan if you are delayed. Best airport to fly into is Paris Charles de Gaulle. This is a one hour drive from the wedding venue, and we suggest renting a car for the weekend since it's in the countryside, and there will be a large free parking lot at the wedding venue. *Sometimes you can find a cheaper flight from the US to London instead of Paris. If you want to do this, you can then look at either taking a seperate flight from London using EasyJet or RyanAir (check with their websites directly). Or you could take the EuroStar train from central London into Paris non-stop. EuroStar typically costs $70 - $100 and leaves from St. Pancras Int' to Paris Gare du Nord: https://www.eurostar.com/us-en/train/france/london-to-paris Then take a rental car to the wedding venue.

Train

Paris Gare du Nord

We do not recommend taking the train from Paris to the wedding venue since there is no direct public transportation to this village. HOWEVER, if you plan to stay at the furthest recommended hotel option, Aiden by Best Western @ T'aim Hotel Compiègne, in the town of Compiègne, you can take a non-stop train from Paris at Gare Du Nord Station into Compiègne train station (the hotel is under a 10min walk from the train), then to get to the wedding venue take a 30 - 35 min taxi ride to the wedding venue. **Warning: taxis are very limited in this countryside region and most do not speak English! Also the car rental companies (Avis & Hertz close by) in Compiègne are only open Mon - Fri. Please note, in Compiègne most car options have a manual transmission.
