Morgan had just finished a full day of continuing education lectures on a Sunday and was sipping a glass of wine at home which she decided to sign up for OkCupid. She had tried online dating before on the behest of a friend, but after two weeks decided it wasn't for her. She is not sure what drew her to try it again, but within 24 hours she began a conversation with Steven and they have talked every day since. Their first conversation was about the Houston Symphony - Steven was a season ticket holder and Morgan's mom was in the Symphony Chorus. They had spent the last couple of years going to concerts on their own, but after they met they never had to sit alone again.

Morgan and Steven were in New York City for a veterinary conference. Morgan had planned a trip with her veterinary school friends to come up to NYC for this work conference and also to visit one of their good friends who lived in Brooklyn. After 4 days of eating, exploring, watching a Broadway musical and seeing a performance in the great Carnegie Hall, Morgan and Steven decided to spend their last day exploring Central Park. Steven wanted to visit the north end of the park where it was quieter with less tourists. Once there, they walked around a garden and climbed a hill overlooking the park. It was there that Steven got down on one knee and asked Morgan to be his wife. Steven spoke about all the great adventures Morgan and him had taken together and that he couldn't wait to go on adventures with her for the rest of his life. Of course Morgan said yes! They then spent the rest of the day wandering around the park and enjoying the feeling of being together :)
