We met at the house of a sister from our church i.e. Trent Vineyard through a small group, and I committed myself to Jesus in the same evening. We did not talk too much and neither did we think of it afterward. Not until 12 February 2017, we both got baptised and then we started knowing each other as we should have done five months ago.
We both encountered a series of revelations from God, indicating that we are the one for each other, and also the feeling within our deep hearts. We have seen how God leads us step by step, so that we both came to the same city, same uni for study, and the same church for baptism. Even though, we were in different cities after my graduation, the hidden seeds within our hearts grow up to a big tree by God's grace. We've been together in December of 2018, after my graduation ceremony - the first time I came back after leaving Nottingham. We got engaged on 20 May 2018 and registered in London on 13 July 2018 under the blessing from our families and friends.
As Christians, we both believe that being husband and wife are completely out of God's grace and blessing. The goal of Christian marriage is to become one flesh and represent the ultimate marriage between Christ and His bride, the Church, base on which we keep reflecting and learning. Also, we begin to think of the broader family from both of our sides more than the small one of us two. We firmly believe in the hope of the unity of all our families in Jesus Christ based on the promise and faith given by our Father!
