Thank you Hinge! Little did we know James worked across the street from where Jen lived in Kakaako. James was intrigued by Jen’s pictures including a surfboard (which was purely aesthetic as Jen had surfed perhaps twice) and asked her to go surfing. Jen declined and James persisted, and so the story began. James asked Jen to meet up for coffee and Jen, well… didn’t show up. She was nervous ok!! Regardless, James persisted and asked to meet Jen on his side of the island in Kailua for pizza and a beer. Jen brought her dog, Bailey, as an out, just incase! James decide to show Jen just how much he could handle the spice to break the ice, and ordered RAW JALAPENOS to the table. After eating said jalapenos, James started perfusively sweating and Jen thought it was hilarious. The *nerves* subsided and they stayed talking and laughing for hours. And as they say, the rest is history.
