How it all began…Jen was working at CycleBar at the time and Dylan had a business relationship with them. Dylan came for a spin class and Jen sold him his membership. She did think his eyes were beautiful, but didn’t think anything else of it, or did she? When Dylan first saw Jen he thought she was cute, but genuinely was just trying to make friends with everyone there. After a couple of months of going to spin classes, he asked Jen to go to the Billie Eilish concert with him. She said no. Jen thought he could be a murderer. More months go by and they became friends. She decided to go to his gym and workout with him. Jen left CycleBar to get a big girl job in Manhattan. May of 2022, Jen and one of her best friends Sam (the officiant of their wedding) went to London…their dream trip. Anyways, on that trip Jen and Dylan texted the entire time. Jen made the first move by flirting first because Dylan didn’t want to assume anything if he made the first move (bad move). She asked him flat out when is he going to ask her out on a date. Then he did! June 3, 2022 marks their first date in Piermont, NY, where they had dinner and walked the pier at night under the stars. The day after their first date, Dylan invited Jen to a Coldplay concert. The only thing is…it was with his parents, but a free ticket! She drove herself to MetLife while having a panic attack, as one does when you’re meeting the man’s parents and you went on one date the night before. Hey, It all worked out! The concert was SO amazing that Dylan and Jen decided to see Coldplay again the next day with Sam (if you forgot, she is one of Jen’s best friends and officiant for their wedding). One of the best concerts they’d ever been to! Jen and Dylan started to date and two weeks into dating, they were in his car and she tells him, you’re going to think I’m crazy! Dylan says I think I know what you’re going to say. They counted to three and said they loved each other. A month into their relationship, Dylan invited Jen to go to Italy with him the following year. He had the trip booked already before COVID. Jen of course said yes because who wouldn’t want to spend their one year anniversary in Italy with the love of their life? Dylan and Jen decided not to tell anyone until further along into their relationship because it’s insane for two people who just started dating to plan a trip a year in advance. Well, it all worked out! They have traveled to 12 countries together and it’s only going to keep growing (yes the Vatican counts as a country if you didn’t know). Fast forward to December 14, 2024, Dylan took Jen out to lunch at the same place where they had their first date. Jen claims she had a feeling it was coming, she made a video before getting ready for lunch to prove it. Jen got dressed up and did her makeup and hair and all (normally doesn’t do that, maybe back in 2016). They drove off to Piermont to the new restaurant that took over, he claims they were celebrating their 2 1/2 year anniversary. He asked her to walk the pier and so they did. A portion of the pier was closed off and it has never been closed before. Dylan asked Jen to jump the gate, she said you’re crazy, hell no! They go to another part of the pier and Jen was hoping he wasn’t proposing because there were 3 people there and she didn’t want anyone around. One of the people in the group of 3 was actually the photographer just talking to a couple. He didn’t want to seem suspicious, so he used them as a decoy. They looked out onto the water on this cold winter day and he told her in her ear, “I know you know.” He turned her around and got on one knee. Jen was bawling her eyes out and obviously said yes! A day they’ll always remember. After they got engaged and told everyone they loved, they went home, got McDonald’s, and watched the Holiday. A very Dylan and Jen evening, but now that includes Fortnite. Dylan and Jen are very excited to celebrate their special day and live happily ever after!
