The oldest of the Memel sister pack, molly has been a role model (and number 1 competitor) of Zoe's since birth. From her love of IPAs to her full embrace of the coastal grandma lifestyle, Molly has been a guiding force in teaching Ryan and Zoe the way of the bay area life. From spontaneous beach walks to yoga classes together, she is someone who always brightens up the Foggy Inner Sunset Mornings for Zoe.
Katie Memel

Among the loud force that is the Memel family Katie often is the quietest in the room with the most meaningful and thoughtful things to say. Growing up tolerating frequent choreographed dance routines in the living room with Zoe & having to withstand her numerous teen "phases", she was often the one providing sage advice that was far above her years. Now she spends most of her time trying to spoil Rory as the best dog aunt.

When not correcting Zoe's spelling mistakes or helping her avoid (another) fashion disaster, Carmel is busy delivering babies and playing on 2 soccer leagues. Carmel and Zoe bonded the first week of medical school over both being the loud jewish women in the room and haven't looked back.

The coolest neurosurgeon you will ever meet (sorry Dorian) & someone you should never underestimate, Kelsi has always awed Zoe in her ability to work hard and play harder. Initially bonding in medical school by teaching Zoe how to sneak into as many free work-out classes in the County of Los Angeles as possible, Kelsi has become a friend that makes every experience together an adventure.

Zoe is still not sure why Haley decided to be friends with her 8 years ago when she invited herself to study aggressively in the library next to haley for days on end. Haley seems to be able to do it all with a calm demeanor and a gentle smile on her face. Orthopedic surgeon, mama to pepito, wife to the Mayor of LA (@Alex Rios)- haley does it all while still remembering to send flowers for every accomplishment. A great friend & always a text away.

Natalie, or as we have always called her, "noodles" made every dull moment growing up a hilarious adventure with her infectious laugh and ability to dance on any occasion. Providing Zoe with her first pair of hand-me-down juicy couture sweatpants that said "juicy" on the butt, she has become a bilingual incredible nurse practitioner that Zoe loves to share the field of medicine with.

There are few people Zoe admires more than "queen bri", Zoe's oldest and fiercest cousin. The girl who brought 16 pairs of shoes to a 7 day trip to Hawaii, who dressed 8 year old Zoe up for her first date with a boy at the pool and the woman who screamed at a large crowd of trump supporters and somehow left the protest without a scratch. Zoe doesn't know a single person with a bigger heart or more hutzpah than cousin bri.
Sara Char

Initially bonding over their love of both internal medicine and a strong margarita, Dr.Char is one of the few people that will get more excited than Zoe to discuss the differential diagnosis for eosinophilia. Sara was one of her lifelines throughout the long three years of medicine residency and taught her essentials like the magic of gel nails and the importance of properly steaming an outfit before any occasion. Although no longer sharing the same coast, Sara is someone Zoe frequently goes to for life advice and will forever be her travel buddy.
Grace Bobkowski

Grace & Zoe initially bonded over their love of making fun of their boyfriends (soon to be husbands) but quickly realized how frighteningly similar they were and instantly became best friends throughout medicine residency. Although its hard for grace to go out past 10pm, she is the one brave soul willing to run with Zoe at the crack of dawn. And while often in her PJs with a book by 8pm, get 2 glasses of wine in her & you'll find her dancing to Taylor Swift all night long. Grace is one of the most genuine and hardworking people Zoe knows and someone Zoe feels luck to have in her life.
David Smilowitz

A fellow Cornellian, David moved to Los Angeles after college and on a whim texted Zoe (who he didn't really know) and asked if she wanted to hang out. After several hundred farmers market trips, jacuzzi talks and sunday night dinners together throughout med school he became a friend she couldn't live without. An OG supporter of the medical school girl hang, david has been a true friend over the long years of medical training.
Dave Westerberg

Initially meeting in high school, Dave has put up with Ryan's bullshit for over a decade, incredible feat only few have accomplished. An otherworldly shot-shaper on the golf course and someone always ready to beat Ryan at Poker, Dave is someone who has always been there for ryan.
Mike Gannon

Mike has been one of Ryan's best friends since high school and has been regulating Ryan's outlandishness since way back then. With over a decade of adventures and stories between them, he recently escaped to Israel where he works as a biomedical engineer.
Jason Weinberg
Groomsman
Weinberg to some, "Beeg" to others, Jason is the optimal competitor. He is also a genuinely kind and humble human in almost every aspects of life (still working on being a better loser though). Although Ryan and Jason couldn't be more opposite in many aspects of life, he's one of the few people willing to get up at 4am to watch a European soccer game with Ryan.
Matt Bobkowski

Matt was the unsung hero and non-doctor who saved Ryan's life (from medical smalltalk) during Zoe's residency. A grill king/sauce boss and a connoisseur of canned meats, matt & ryan bonded on their love of video games and ability to translate medical knowledge at parties.
Kento Kawai

Kento has the title of ryan's coolest friend from high school. In more recent years, he has also become easily the coolest MD PhD he knows. He has always been his gracious pickup teammate and opponent for many years (when Ryan's knees still sort of functioned). And while they don't see each other as often these days, when they do its as nothing has changed.
Mikey Char

From a page filled with doctors, somehow he's the most Type-A person on this list. The boat captain, trip planner, housekeeper, and always ready to supply an IV bag. Type-B Mikey does exists within an exact quantum of inebriation, but side effects include bathtub naps and dice eating.
Clovis Weisbart

Clovis is a faithful male comrade in the revolution against the Memel-Ziegler Matriarchy (we lost). He is also simultaneously the sexiest and nerdiest French person Ryan knows (French Canadians omitted of course Marc). Clovis is a fierce competitor but will graciously lose any board game to Ryan to make him feel better.
Ross Lee
Officiant
Ross, or as ryan refers to him, his "lawyer older brother". Ross introduced him to the Next Generation and ryan has 85% of his nerdiest/dorkiest interests to thank him for. Ryan and ross share a special love for expensive movie theaters and fine dinning. Ross is one of the most humble people we know and both Ryan and Zoe are so grateful that he has agreed to be the officiant at their wedding.
