FAQs

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

Attire for wedding is cocktail. The ceremony will take place in a very traditional Catholic Church, so please keep that in mind.

Question

Is there transportation from the church to the reception?

Answer

Yes we will have a shuttle from the church to the reception. The shuttle will make multiple trips from the church to the reception. The shuttle will also pick up hotel guests from the hotels with room blocks--Sheraton in Fisherman's Wharf & the Hilton and take guests to the church. A schedule of pick up times will be included in guest welcome bags.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What is the weather like?

Answer

The temperature in San Francisco typically ranges between 55 - 68 degrees in August. Which will be a nice break from the heat & humidity for you Southern folks. Pack a light jacket, dress in layers and be prepared for chilly nights.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

No. The city is only 7 x 7 square miles and very accessible by Uber, Lyft, Taxi or Muni (bus). Parking is ridiculously expensive and unfortunately car break in theft is rampant. We suggest renting a car only if you plan to drive to wine country before or after the wedding.

Question

Is San Francisco safe?

Answer

Our city & surrounding landscape is absolutely beautiful, however SF does have her issues. We have a mental health epidemic resulting in hundreds of mentally ill homeless people on the streets. It is saddening and we encounter it on a daily basis. You will feel obligated to help by giving them money, but please do not. Majority of the homeless population is dependent on drugs. Its not uncommon to see needles on the streets of SF. Better to give them food & water. They usually keep to themselves however some can be more aggressive particularly in touristy areas. Be careful & be aware of your surroundings. FYI watch your step. Due to the homeless population & the jerks who don't clean up after their dogs, it's not uncommon to see or step in fecal matter. Gross, I know. San Francisco is pretty safe compared to other major US cities, but always be aware of your surroundings & don't be dumb.
