Henna "Night"

3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

What is the Henna Night anyway?

The Henna Night is a traditional Turkish wedding ritual usually held the day before the ceremony. It's a celebration (in a mostly female setting) centered on the bride, shared with family and friends. Henna is applied to her palms as a symbol of strength, good fortune, and positive wishes for the future she is stepping into. The evening begins with a traditional (pretty emotional) song that marks a personal transition: the bride consciously closing one chapter of her life and opening another. The mood then (very quickly) shifts into celebration, with music, dancing, and laughter taking over. The Henna Night honors the bride’s journey and celebrates a new beginning.
