It was February of 2018. Angel had just relocated to Greensboro,NC from NYC to follow his passion for construction. Milady, born in NYC, raised in Winston Salem, NC, was in college at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro and had just gotten off from spring break. She was working at the local foodlion near her college where they met at in March of 2018. Milady was Angel’s cashier and he was buying nothing but frozen groceries lol. Milady asked “You don’t know how to cook do you? Can’t be, not with all that frozen sh** !” Angel replied, “Naw but you can cook for me!” They both laughed and Angel asked for Milady number and then of course she gave it to him. They texted for a good 2 weeks and linked for pizza at mellow mushroom in the beginning of April that year. And late night, after chilling with her family, Milady had pulled up to Angel, they chilled and he expressed how he didn’t want to be away from her for so long without talking and asked Milady to be his. Milady said “dead ass” lol and Angel said “yes you mine now” And they made it official April 22nd 2018 and the rest is history !

After spending their first big holidays together, spending their 1 year anniversary at the beach, and celebrated things like Angel’s 25th Birthday, Milady’s 21st birthday in Atl, and family summer beach trips, In the summer of 2019, Milady and Angel began living together. It was a big change for the both of them lol. They learned together how to heal certain things about themselves as well as adult responsibilities that are to be upheld in a relationship. During this time, Angel mastered his craft In construction while advancing his career with Milady’s support. And Milady was attending Ncat and graduated later that year in December. Angel supported her in a way she couldn’t ever imagine! He even supported her goal of opening a Bartending business as well as Applying to, getting accepted to and attending Syracuse University online for Grad School. The things learned, the friendship built and the trust and loyalty that developed between the two during this time was a great experience in their relationship. And the memories made during this time were even more of an amazing experience together!

The couple had huge plans after 2019. In January 2020 Angel helped Milady plan a trip to Miami to celebrate her graduation and her birthday. They went, it was amazing. It was both their first time there & their first big trip of many. Shortly after returning from Miami, the whole America shut down. Milady and Angel lives changed. They had to learn to be around each other 24/7. They were learning patience in a way they never knew before, It was a bonding experience for sure. Though covid had put a pen in things, Milady and Angel still found a way to shine through.

At this point in their relationship they had been on dates for days (Angel was not a fan of eating out lol), to the beach more than we can count, Atl at least 3-4 times (Milady loved the nightlife), had went to multiple cities in NC together and had been to the yams for the first time together. So to celebrate their 3 year anniversary Milady and Angel went to vegas in April of 2021. It was both their first time, and it was Milady’s first time on the plane. Vegas was so litttt. This trip was amazing. This trip was also the first time Milady and Angel really discovered what each of them considered fun as individuals, a good turning point for their relationship. Also “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” is very real 🤣🤞🏾🎊 Milady and Angel were doing alot of “first” things together!

Life’s going great! They were working, building, connecting and in love with each other now more than ever. They just had celebrated Valentine’s day together for the 4th year and was discussing what they wanted to do to celebrate 4 years of being together in April. Angel was insisting that they keep it small but of course Milady wanted a trip! Of course, Milady was bugging Angel on what they were going to do to celebrate 4 years of being together and what do you know…. On a random morning, literally like 6a.m., about a month before their anniversary as a couple (4/22/18), on 3/27/22, Angel wakes Milady up, she turns over to see him on his knee and he said “Milady I love you yo” then asked “Do you wanna marry me” Milady said “Deadass, yo you deadass?” In disbelief she jumped up screaming, with happiness in her voice, “Yes of course I’ll marry you!” And now here we are 🫶🏾💍
