We met 14 years ago at work. We worked together for seven years and stayed bffs after I left. Christina is one of the most genuine people I know. She's a meeting planner by trade but is also a yoga instructor, loving mother to a 1.5 year old beagle named Rosa Barks, loves being anywhere outside... oh...and she's vegan, but we don't hold that against her! :)

Jen is one of the first friends I made when I moved to Northern Virginia 20 years ago! She has never met a stranger, is welcoming to all she meets and is one hell of a cook. If you're lucky enough to be invited to her house for dinner...GO! Her laugh is infectious, she is never self conscious, and always up to have fun...but watch out, nights with Jen almost ALWAYS turn into a night that never ends!

Emily and I met 15 years ago through a mutual friend. We clicked almost instantly. I have always valued her opinion: how's my hair? is this lipstick awful? what do you think of him? She is a true confidante and will always tell it to me straight. She's been there for me through some really tough times and has never waivered in her friendship. Emily is a true friend, someone who will knock someone down if you say anything bad about anyone she loves. You can find her dancing anywhere there's music!
Penny Moden

I met Penny the day I met Chris, almost 13 years ago! If it weren't for her I may not have met him. Penny will always go above and beyond to celebrate her friends...and any holiday that is on the calendar! She and her husband Matt are avid travelers who are always looking for their next adventure. She is the proud mama of a 6 year old bulldog named Lola (Lola has way more outfits than Penny does). On any given day you can find Penny either enjoying her screened in porch with a glass of wine, relaxing with friends, or getting a few sessions in on the Peloton. I don't know where she finds the energy, but she is always up for something. She is a great friend and is fiercely loyal.

Since meeting "BG" over 20 years ago, we've attended and watched more soccer games than I can count. BG is one of the more patient people I know - a trait that has served him well as a lifelong Cleveland sports fan. You can find BG enjoying a flight of wine at his local watering hole, visiting one of the many coffee shops in his neighborhood, or just peek into any pizza shop as there is a good chance you will find him there.
Matt Bailey

Matt and I became friends in 6th grade when he moved into our neighborhood just outside of Roanoke, VA. We spent most of our days at the local pool or kicking the soccer ball around. I spent nearly as many weekend nights hanging out with his family as I did with my own. We've remained close friends even as he moved to Georgia where he now lives with his wife, Courtney, and his teenage son and daughter. If you're looking for Matt just listen for his infectious laughter.
Steve Boswell

I met Steve just after college and reconnected with him a few years later through JMU alumni softball. Melony and I got engaged while living with "Boz" and his wife, Janis, for several months while we were renovating our home. If you're looking for the Fountain of Youth, ask Boz as he may have found it...he lives on coffee and IPA and still looks 10 years younger than he is. On any given weekend you can find him doing a project around the house or putting in even more hours at work. The coffee helps him get through his work schedule, the IPAs help with everything else.

I met Brett almost 20 years ago on the JMU alumni softball team, where he also met his wife, Lauren. I have sought his advice many times both on and off the golf course. Though Brett stays busy with his three kids, he always has time for a friend. I would expect Brett to continue his work at Linked In and coaching his kids' sports teams for a few more years before retiring to realize his dream of joining the Senior PGA tour.

I met Matt almost 20 years ago through Capital Alumni Network sports. Matt's wife, Penny, is one of Melony's bridesmaids. Between their many travels, he always finds time to work on his ever-improving golf game. You can easily spot Moden tearing up the dance floor with his signature dance moves.
