The dress code is "smart casual." Smart casual is a step down from cocktail attire, but a step up from everyday wear. Cocktail attire is acceptable, but not mandatory for this event. Some examples of a smart casual dress code are (including but not limited to): Sun dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, sandals, flats, wedges, heels, blazers, button down shirts, khakis, dress pants, boat shoes, loafers, boots, ties, sport jackets, and chinos. Please avoid wearing sneakers (unless they are stylish) and jeans. Most of all please dress comfortably. The wedding will be at the end of august which may be humid and hot. Consider bringing a light jacket, shawl or pashmina to wear as the evening progresses. Since the ceremony will be on the grass lawn, you may decide to trade stiletto's for wedges. Jewel tones (emerald green, navy, burgundy, dark teal, burnt orange, dark purple, etc.) are encouraged, but not mandated.
We want our wedding to be a joyful celebration for everyone and we plan to party into the night! Invited children are welcome to attend, however festivities will be geared towards adults. A kids meal will also be available.
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests that are formally invited. Your invitation envelope should specify what guests are invited.
Both the ceremony and reception will be located at Early Mountain Vineyards in Madison Virginia. Weather permitting the ceremony will be outside on the Great Lawn. Succeeding the ceremony, cocktail hour will be held in the main tasting room and on the terrace. Finally, the reception will be held indoors at the Event Hall.
The venue shall be available to our guests starting at 6:00 pm. We request your presence between 6:00 pm and no later than 6:15 pm, with the commencement of the ceremony slated for 6:30 pm. *Please note it is possible you will not be able to enter inside the venue before 6:00 pm.
The venue has ample parking by the main building. If by chance the paved parking fills up, there are gravel lots for overflow parking.
