Our downtown area features a great river-walk along the Truckee River. This area is home to several fun restaurants & bars including, The Eddy, Silver Peak Brewery, Campo, and Wild River Grill. Explore Wingfield Park or walk west along the Riverwalk to find the larger Idlewild Park.
Reno has a thriving restaurant industry and there are lots of places to explore! There are several amazing breweries, great all-you-can-eat sushi joints, fancy Italian restaurants, amazing and authentic Mexican food, and incredible Asian cuisines (think Thai/Korean/Vietnamese.. you name it!) You can find many restaurants online, and we would be happy to offer recommendations as well.
There are multiple areas to visit in North Lake Tahoe, from Incline Village to Kings Beach, there are many beaches and restaurants along the North Coast of the Lake. If you have never been to Lake Tahoe before, the crystal clear waters and towering pine trees are a site to behold and make for a great day trip. If you are planning a trip to the beach, we recommend you leave early as parking spots can fill up quickly! Sand Harbor, Kings Beach and Chimney Rock (plan on a short hike) are a few of our favorites.
South Lake Tahoe is alive with restaurants, shops, and casinos.. sharing a boundary with both Nevada and California. There are great hiking trails nearby, see Fallen Leaf Lake and Cascade Falls trails to name a few. Historic Emerald Bay is also close.
A classic Reno museum that showcases the timeline of the car industry, starting with the first Model T by Henry Ford. Reno is known for its large collection of classic vehicles.
Besides our beautiful wedding venue, Galena Creek Park is host to several hiking trails. Check out their visitor center for more information. (Our favorite trail is Whites Creek)
A great spot for a kids day out in downtown Reno. They are frequently changing their exhibits, so check online to see what they have going on!
This is WAY more than a casino.. complete with a bowling alley, small theater, arcade, multiple restaurants, spa, large pool and lounge area, a nightclub, and concert venue.
This casino has one of the best spas in town and some beautiful restaurants.
Kids paradise! Next to an outdoor water park, the Coconut Bowl is home to bowling, outdoor and indoor mini-golf, an arcade, and indoor go carts. Parent friendly too- they have a full bar area so you can relax while the kids explore!
Are you a sports fan? Our local stadium is home to two separate teams - The Reno Aces (baseball) and Reno 1868 (soccer). Check out their website to look for any games going on during your stay!
This huge park is located near the University of Nevada, Reno. It is home to both the Wilbur D. May arboretum and the Wilbur D. May museum. There are walking and running trails, multiple playgrounds and picnic areas, and a large off-leash dog park.
A quick drive south of Reno, Carson City is the Nevada State Capital. This little city has a quaint downtown area filled with restaurants and shops. You can also sneak up to South Lake Tahoe after passing through the city via Highway 50. This is a great way to see some of the great scenery our area has to offer.
This old mining town sits high atop the mountains east of Reno. Offering lively, old-fashioned saloons and eateries, walking tours, and even a scenic train tour, this is a great place to visit!
