My older sister who has always taken care of me. I know I was the annoying little sister lol, but she always took me everywhere and never left me out. We fight sometimes, but we always make up an hour later 😂 No matter what, we always stick together. I truly got blessed with her as a sister. She is someone I can always count on, and honestly, she helped raise me and made me into the person I am today. One of my favorite memories will always be calling her every day before work just to catch up. Even though we don’t live together anymore, we still make sure to stay involved in each other’s lives.

Jesus (Chuy), technically my uncle, but I see him as the older brother I never had! Grew up together and were always at each other’s houses when we were kids. He was the one who got blamed for everything when one of the younger cousins got hurt at family parties, and I’m truly sorry for that! As we’ve gotten older, I have gotten closer, and I know I can always lean on him when I need advice about life or just someone to talk to. I appreciate you Chuy!

My best friend since high school. I know she is someone who will always have my back, and someone I can always depend on. She is such a strong, intelligent, and independent woman, and someone I truly admire. She’s always been the person I can go to for advice or whenever I’m having a rough day. She became one of the best friends I could ever ask for. I know that no matter the situation, I can call her and she’ll answer or be there for me. She has never left me feeling alone, and I’m so thankful for the friendship we have.

Genaro is also my uncle, but I see him as my cousin (Jesus' brother). When I was a little kid, Genaro was like a big teddy bear! Would always go around to all the cousins and give us a big bear hug! Genaro is a very genuine person and has a big heart. He makes sure that everyone around him is taken care of, and I know I can definitely count on him if I ever need anything!

My older cousin from my dad’s side. She is one of the sweetest people with such a wonderful heart. She took care of me for about two weeks growing up lol, and taught me so much. I actually learned how to swim because of her. I admire the person she is today: strong, independent, selfless, and always positive. She is the type of older cousin everyone wishes they had. I know that no matter what, she is someone I can count on. She’s always on top of things, always encouraging others, and always making people laugh. She’s honestly someone I’ve always looked up to and hope to be more like someday.

Sebastian, or as I like to call him, Tio Sebas! Is definitely like another little brother to me that I never had, sometimes you make me pull my hair out, but you’ve taught me a lot of patience! I got to see you grow from a boy to a man and maturing every step of the way. Sebastian is a very kind person, he caters to you even when you don’t need it, is probably one of the people who has made me laugh the most, and overall, just super grateful for you!

My older cousin from my mom’s side. She has a heart of gold and is such a strong and beautiful woman. Growing up, she took care of me through all the sleepovers lol, and as one of the older girl cousins, she taught me so many things. Being the younger cousin, I learned a lot from looking up to my older cousins. She is someone I know I can count on, and someone anyone would be lucky to have in their life. I actually got into makeup because of her. She would always do my makeup and my sisters’, and from watching her, I taught myself. I also love seeing what an amazing mom she has become. Her and Meghin have always been the older cousins I admired, and I hope one day I can be as sweet and generous as they are.

Fernando and I have definitely gotten closer within 1 1/2 - 2 years! Probably because he’s my brother-in-law, haha! I can say many things about Fernando, but one thing he is for sure, is a family man! Loves his wife and his two beautiful daughters, but most importantly, he Loves God, I know he’s got my back if I ever need him, and he knows I got his if he ever needs mine!

My best friend. She has such a kindhearted personality and is someone I instantly clicked with. She’s the type of person who can make me laugh anytime. I feel so blessed to have met her at church, and it’s even more special that our husbands became close friends too. She is truly beautiful inside and out, and every time we get together, we always have stories to share and laugh about. I’ve seen her grow so much as a person, and I admire how much effort and love she puts into everything she does. She’s honestly one of the most amazing friends I could ask for, and I know she’s someone I can always depend on.

I met Roman about 2 years ago, on a job site we were both working in, when we first meet it was like an instant click, and he just got along quickly. I’ve seen this young man develop into the man he is now! We’ve each shared our own personal experiences with each other, and I feel like that just brought us closer together! Later down the line in life, finding out that his wife (girlfriend) at the time was Melody’s friend! One thing I got to witness was Roman getting saved! And seeing him change from when I met him to now is amazing.
