We’re getting married!

We met when we were teenagers lifeguarding at the local pool. I'd watch him teach swim lessons and I thought he was kind of cute, but it turns out he thought I was cute too. Unfortunately we remained friends and went on to do our own things Fast forward a few years to spring break of 2016 when my family took a trip to the local aquarium. They had an aviary filled with parakeets and guess who was working that aviary? None other than Charlie Brown. I called his name and he turned around and smiled. We talked a little and I ask about a job. I started working there in the summer and we hung out a lot. We would go to the arcade and go on nature walks. One day, we were sitting in his car outside of the aquarium and he wrote down on a piece of paper, "Do you want to go out and hold hands?'. Of course I said yes! It was the sweetest way to ask and I think we still have the notebook it was written in.

After months of trying to find the right time to go to Enchanted Rock, we finally decided to go the weekend after New Years. We got to Enchanted Rock at about 2 pm, and we hiked up to the top, stopping to take photos. we explored some rock formations and enjoyed the 360 view from the top. When the sun started to set, Charlie decided he was going to take pictures of me. He told me to look out at the view so he could take pictures in the perfect light. He was taking a lot and I asked if I could turn around and he told me to wait. He finally told me to turn around and there Charlie was holding out a ring and taking pictures of my reaction. Turns out he was having trouble pulling the ring box from his pocket. I jumped on him and told him I loved him. It was the best date he has ever taken me on
