If you ask Taylor what the Mellon Berry origin story is she will quote Walt Whitman “We were together - all else has been forgotten by me.” Or something with the same sentiment, but less eloquently said. As for Pat, he tells a different story. According to him, they met in the laundry room in the basement of Kelly Hall. They were both doing their first load of laundry freshman year at Drexel. As a mamas boy, Pat had never done his own laundry before. He said “I don’t know how to do my laundry” to Taylor and she replied “That sucks!” and left. While Taylor doesn’t remember this moment, she cannot argue that it sounds like something she would say. She would like to point out that Pat does the majority of the laundry in their household thanks to that moment almost 12 years ago - long game. Luckily Pat’s persistence eventually won Taylor over. On April 1st, Taylor “pranked” Pat by saying he could be her boyfriend. Looks like the joke is on Taylor now since this is their wedding website..... While Pat has stayed in Philly since moving there in 2007, Taylor’s sense of adventure had her move to London > Philly > New York > Philly > Brooklyn and then finally back to Philly just in time for the Eagles to win the superbowl. While long distance relationship can be challenging especially with conflicting schedules, technology allowed them to send pictures of every dog they saw when they weren’t able to talk. Tired of not having a dog(s) shortly after Taylor moved back they bought their first home in South Philly, adopted their dog Bam Bam and then got engaged, Now on to the party!
