The short answer is... COVID! We had a hard time finding a weekend that worked for both the church and the venue, and so had to schedule the ceremony for Saturday afternoon and reception for Sunday evening. While it's a little unorthodox, we are going to roll with it. All are welcome at the ceremony on Saturday but please don't feel required to attend if travel plans don't allow.
Yes! We are hosting Welcome Drinks on Saturday night after the ceremony at Saint Lou's Assembly, a patio about a 10-minute walk from the church where the wedding ceremony is. All are welcome to come by – it will be hosted drinks and light bites.
Semi-formal – typical wedding attire. Cocktail dresses and suits, please!
Up to you! Some people will wear the same dress or suit to both the ceremony and reception, some people will wear two outfits, and some people will wear the same outfit to the church and then change before the Welcome Drinks Saturday night. The more formal occasion will be the Sunday reception.
This will be an adult-only celebration! Please get in touch if you'd like help finding a babysitter for your children.
