Market Square is our favorite place to visit in Downtown Knoxville, especially on Saturdays for the Farmers Market. It is a mix of national chains, like Urban Outfitters and Juice Bar, and some Knoxville gems, like Tomato Head and Cafe 4. Pop into The Casual Pint for a craft beer, head to Stock and Barrel for a delicious burger, or stop in Coffee and Chocolate for a pick-me-up.
Just walk down Gay Street to find something yummy to eat. Some of our personal favorites are Nama Sushi Bar, The French Market Creperie, Babalu Tapas & Tacos, Suttree's High Gravity Tavern, and Coolato Gelato. It seems every time we visit, there's a new downtown restaurant to try. If you're in the mood for a movie, the Regal Cinemas is right in the middle of downtown.
Here's to you, ole Tennessee, our alma mater true!
Favorite places in the Old City: OliBea, The Crown & Goose, Barley's, and Old City Java.
If you want some nature right in the city!
A "speakeasy" on the side of the Oliver Hotel. It's very cozy, and a great place to get a craft cocktail named after your favorite literature. It is small, so there may be a wait!
