Yes! Ko'olau has a ton of free parking in the front of the venue for those that would like to drive.
We will be hiring a shuttle from Waikiki to Ko'olau Ballrooms on our wedding day. We understand that there are limited ride share options from our venue and want everyone to be safe in returning back to town after the wedding. The pickup location is yet to be determined. Please follow up here for further details.
As much as we love keiki (children), unfortunately the glass ballroom has limited space restrictions and we are unable to invite all keiki. If you have any concerns or further questions, please reach out directly to Jakob or Melissa.
Melissa's best finds for budget friendly formal aloha attire include the following: 1) Cooke Street Aloha Shirts from Costco (check the Costco Iwilei - they have tons, styles rotate) 2) Nordstrom Rack in Ward on Auahi - they have discounted Kahala, Reyn Spooner, and Tori Richard Aloha Shirts. Normally about 40% off. 3) Reyn Spooner Outlet at the Waikele Premium Outlets. Note that products from this location are final sale. Has great options for both men and women. 4) Feel free to browse online at Kahala, Reyn Spooner, or Tory Richard for sales. Please note that there is often a minimum spend for free shipping and many of their sale items are final sale. They do have sales periodically so be on the lookout!
Melissa's top two recommendations for formal aloha attire include Manuheali'i and Always A.Line. These are her favorites because all the garments are exclusively made in Hawai'i! They can be a little pricey but excellent quality and the outfits last for years. If shopping in person, Manuheali'i has two locations: one on Punahou Street and the second in Kailua. They also can be found on the website listed above. Manuheali'i drops a new collection once a month. Their outfit fabrics vary between polyester (Melissa's favorite), rayon, cotton, and polyester/spandex blend (dry fit feel). If shopping in person, Always A.Line can be found in the Ala Moana Center on the third floor located across from The North Face. They also drop a new collection once a month and they offer free shipping and returns within the US which is a huge plus as well especially if you are unsure of your sizing. Most of their attire is made with Rayon and Spandex for a comfortable fit/feel and many of their dresses have pockets.
