Melissa and Wesley first crossed paths during a Union Pacific Railroad internship their sophomore year of college. Melissa thought he was cute. Wesley thought she was way too cool for him. They were both a little right. What started as an easy friendship grew quietly and steadily. A year later, they were both accepted into BYU's Global Supply Chain Management program and spent the next few years in each other's corner, cheering the other on through every challenge and every win. The kind of friendship that just fits. It wasn't until senior year that Melissa finally made her move, inviting Wesley over for a puzzle night. He hesitated, genuinely surprised she wanted to spend time with just him, but he showed up, and they had a great time. What Melissa didn't know was that Wesley hates puzzles more than just about anything. What Wesley knew was that she was absolutely worth it. One week later, Wesley asked her on their first date, a picnic dinner and an evening at a charming little Utah goat farm. Somewhere between the fresh air, the easy laughter, and the many goats, something quietly and perfectly clicked. They'll both tell you it was the best first date they'd ever been on. (Ask us about the goats at the reception. Trust us.) A few months later, he surprised her with a trip to Spain, her favorite place in the world. In Córdoba, standing among the architecture she had always loved, Wesley got down on one knee. She said yes. We can't wait to celebrate with you on July 18th.
