The National Mall is incredible and is the home to many of our favorite spots in the city. We highly recommend taking some time to check out the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Washington Monument, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
The Portrait Gallery is one of our favorite Smithsonian's in the city. They have portraits of famous Americans and different selections of historical and contemporary artwork. If you have the time, we highly recommend you spending some time here!
A short distance outside of DC, Alexandria is rich in history and offers wonderful views and food options. Old Town Alexandria (and King Street) is known for its brick sidewalks and well-preserved 18th- and 19th-century buildings, along with great views of the Potomac River.
Washington, DC is the heart of our country’s democracy and offers spectacular views of our key buildings. Check-out the U.S. Capitol and the White House.
