The dress code for the wedding is formal. This can mean long dresses, cocktail dresses that feel dressy enough for an evening wedding, or suits and ties. You do not need a tux unless you want to wear one. Just think classic and elegant, and you will be totally fine. Please avoid white or anything very close to it. If you are unsure about your outfit, you can text me a picture and I will help!
Yes, your kids are welcome! We would love to have them at the wedding. If you need help figuring anything out, just let me know and I will do my best to help.
Yes. Everything is at the same venue, so once you arrive you will not need to travel anywhere else.
Please plan to arrive at the venue around 5:00 pm. The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm, and this gives everyone enough time to get settled, find their seat, have a welcome drink, and relax before everything starts.
August in Portugal is warm and sunny. Lisbon is usually a lot hotter during the day. Porto has warm days and cooler evenings because it's close to the ocean. Light clothes and comfortable walking shoes are perfect. Bring a light layer for evenings in Porto.
Uber and Bolt are very affordable and easy to use in both Lisbon and Porto. Both cities also have metros that are simple and clean. Porto’s metro goes straight to and from the airport. Both cities are very walkable, and we recommend exploring on foot!
No. A car isn't necessary unless you plan to explore smaller towns like Aveiro, Coimbra, or Braga.. It's a lot easier to use Uber or public transportation. It can also bee quite difficult to find parking in both cities. If you do plan to rent a car though, just let us know, and we can help with this as well! We'd love to give recommendations and help however we can.
You can fly into Lisbon or Porto. Lisbon has more flights and direct flights from LAX. Porto is easiest if you aren't planning to spend time in Lisbon or anywhere else first.
The high-speed train (AP) takes about two and a half to three hours. It's comfortable, seats are assigned, and it's very easy to use.
Porto has great neighborhoods like Baixa, Ribeira, Cedofeita, Gaia, Foz, and Matosinhos. They are all safe and easy to get around. If you want help choosing where to stay, just text me and I can help you pick!
