What about Covid-19?

Answer

We're looking forward to celebrating with you! For protection and safety for each guest, WE’RE ASKING FOR A NEGATIVE PCR TEST PRIOR TO THE WEDDING! If you are sick, please do not attend! Masks are welcomed!

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Yes! Our theme is “A Starry Night”. For “A Starry Night” theme, you can revolve around the colors of black, dark blue, gold, and silver.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

We are still working on this! Invitations and RSVPs usually go out 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding!

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Jacksonville, FL is normally humid with a few quick showers around July. An umbrella and jacket will be ideal!

When is the best time/day to travel to Jacksonville?

Answer

If possible, Thursday evening is ideal since we have a Family and Friends gathering on Friday.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outside, weather permitting, and the reception will be indoors of the same venue!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. For “A Starry Night” theme, you can revolve around the colors of black, dark blue, gold, and silver.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able be to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We are working on hotel blocks, however we do have hotels listed and you are more than welcomed to get an Airbnb. We recommend staying in the Fleming Island and Orange Park area due to heavy traffic and also checking for discounts. Proper IDs are required upon checking in!

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Unfortunately no, however if you require a ride, please give an early notice! Please keep in mind that there’s Uber, Lyft, or you can reserve a rental at the airport!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free and there will be more than enough parking spaces!

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you refrain from using flash during the ceremony and to also tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #MelissaTystheknot so we can keep track of all of your pictures! Please put your phone on vibrate or silent!
