Trevaun and Melissa met at Six Flags in Upper Marlboro at 16 years old. They were lifeguards together, became friends, and made lots of memories with the aquatic staff that year. Fast forward in 2019 life found a way to reconnect them.

On Saturday September 16, 2023, Melissa thought she was going out to eat with her cousin Amanda at Rosa Mexicano. Trevaun told Melissa he and Sailor were off to hang out at Dave N Busters with his friend Deveron. That was the cover story. At 7:30, to her surprise she was not going to Rosa Mexicano! Over by the ferris wheel at the National Harbor, stood Tre and all of their family and friends to witness the proposal!
