September 2018...
Melissa moved back to Vancouver after finishing her undergraduate degree in Bellingham and was spending lots of time with her good friend Camille who lived with Travis at the time. Melissa and Travis continued to see each other around but things didn't kick off until they both swiped right on tinder. Yes, tinder.
Their first date was October 20th, 2018 at the Portland Saturday Market where they spent time laughing, walking around, and enjoying good beer at Deschutes Brewery.
Later that evening Camille and her now-husband Simon asked Travis and Melissa to go on a double date with them to the pumpkin patch for the following day, neither hesitated to say yes.
They never stopped hanging out.
Soon Travis and Melissa learned about their shared passions of snowboarding, delicious beer, and dogs.
Over the next few years, they would continue to enjoy spending time together, learning new hobbies, and supporting each other's dreams.

Melissa and Travis took a trip to the coast to meet some friends. The air mattress popped in the back of the trunk and the car battery died. 10/10 would do again.
