Timothy was working nights at East Jefferson Hospital in New Orleans. He so happened to get called off on a Thursday and asked me out for pizza. Me, not wanting to travel too far from the house during the week, said let's try this new place in downtown Covington. We went to Meribo - a southern Italian fare with wood-fire pizza. We split the Nocco pizza and a cannoli for dessert. We spent the next 4 hours talking about our families, current lives and who should take home the leftover pizza. I ended up convincing Tim to take the pizza. I found out months later he then woofed down the last couple slices on the way home. Haha! We now have a small sign in our house that reads "Love - a noun - means giving them the last slice of pizza no matter how much you want it.”
We took a cruise with my parents (Tim & Judy) in February. It started out a bit rough due to my parents flight getting delayed in Chicago and missing the boat in New Orleans. We were happy to find out Mom & Dad would be getting on the boat on Tuesday in Mexico to join us. Tim and I spent the day by the pool and opted for late dining. As the evening approached Tim kept asking what I wanted to do before or after dinner. "Walk around the deck or a drink at the bar?" "Do you want to get pictures before or after dinner?" I was trying my best at a go with the flow attitude and said we can do whatever. As we walked down to dinner I noticed Tim sweating uncontrollably. The line for dinner was long and at this point Tim was pouring sweat and seemed to have no patience for lines. We decided to go walk the deck instead of waiting in line - as we were walking we got asked to take our "formal pictures" as everyone does on a cruise. After this pose and that - the photographer said our pictures will be up tomorrow. Tim then asks for one more picture request. He pulls out a ring box and gets down on one knee. As my eyes were filling with tears I said yes!
