Way back in 2011 Roberto came to San Francisco to work at the Italian Cultural Institute. It was his first time in the US, and he was excited to meet new people. Just a few weeks after he arrived, Melissa decided to attend a piano concerto at the Institute, since she was studying Italian and is a classical music lover. Melissa was the first to arrive at the event, and when Roberto saw her, he swooped over to escort her to the seats, and chat all about his new experiences in San Francisco. They exchanged emails under the guise that Melissa could practice her Italian and Roberto could improve his English. They bonded over their shared love of diverse cultures, exploring cities, dancing in the streets, and willingness to always try something new. A decade later, that official Italian/English lesson still has not happened, but they have learned so much from each other, travelled the world together, and have built a life they cherish full of love and laughter. It is time they officially celebrate their union, and are excited to share this special day with you.
