Our Love Story

Love At First Sight

Our love story started when we matched on Facebook back in November 2022. After making a few compliments about each other’s smiles and eyes, we hit it off. We continued chatting for a couple of weeks before meeting in person. I actually saw Philip for the first time at our local Target store but he didn’t see me. I had to check him out quickly because my daughter Ani was with me and she kept asking me why I was walking so slow. Philip caught my eye, I recognized him from his photos and I really liked what I saw. I then messaged him and told him I spotted him at Target, he then became more eager to meet me in person. Weeks went by and we decided to meet on my birthday after my celebration in Temecula. I had one of my cousin’s named Gustavo follow me back home to continue my celebration in Oceanside. We decided to continue the birthday celebration at Coyote’s Bar & Grill in Carlsbad. I had Phil meet us there, we met in person for the first time. We looked into each other’s eyes as we danced the night away. We knew this was the beginning to everlasting love. We talked everyday and saw each other whenever possible. We both agreed to remain friends until the timing was right. Philip was in the process of moving and I offered him to be my tenant. After being roommates for a short time, our feelings grew stronger. Phil wanted to take the next step and ask me to be his Valentine. He made sure it was okay with Ani first, with her approval we had our date and he asked me to be his girlfriend. We decided to go on a family trip to Hawaii in April. We both had hidden rings and didn’t know the other had a planned proposal. The first proposal was on 4.12.23 on the beach under a star lit sky, Phil asked me to be his wife. I didn’t think twice and said “Yes!!”. The fact that his grandmother’s ring fit me perfectly, I knew it was meant to be. I then waited for the last night in Maui to give Philip the promise ring, he also had a beautiful necklace with a diamond cross for Ani. We all shared this special moment together as a new family and the rest was history!! Our advice to those that are searching for everlasting love, don’t give up on finding your happiness. Everyone truly has a soulmate, you have to just be patient and leave it in God’s hands. It doesn’t matter if you’ve known this person for days, weeks, months, years, you’ll know it’s your soulmate when your heart and soul feels complete!!

Our Meant To “BEE” Story

11/22

The meaning beehind the connection with “Bumble Bees” started when Melissa’s eldest sister Joanne Godinez passed away in 2020. Joanne shared with Melissa the idea of starting a business and using bumble bees as her business logo because one of her employers would call her a “busy bee”. Melissa loved the idea, she even got her sister a necklace with a bumble bee charm on it for her birthday before she passed. Ever since Joanne’s passing, bumble bees have had a special meaning for Melissa. Not only does Melissa’s name mean “Queen Bee” but she found a squishmellow bumble bee named “sunny” and this is a nickname Melissa gave Philip when they started dating. Melissa saw it as a sign from the beginning of their relationship. The other sign was when Melissa was having an emotional day thinking about her sister Joanne, Phil ended up surprising Melissa with a gift, not knowing she was having an emotional day. It happened to bee a crocheted bumble bee!! Melissa was speechless, she knew instantly it was a sign from her sister. Phil was the man she had been waiting for all along. Melissa had been praying for a good man to come into her life for awhile and she even prayed to her sister, asking her to help find this special person from the heavens above!! If you Beelieve in the phrases “good things come to those who wait” & “love happens when you least expect it”, the same can happen for you as it happened for Melissa & Philip. They didn’t give up on finding their soulmate, they just had to wait patiently on God’s timing!! “God’s Timing Is Perfect”- Ecclesiastes 3:11 🐝🙏🏼
