FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 30–45 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time for parking and walking. Street parking in the area is limited. The La Jolla Financial Building parking garage is available nearby for a fee.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Think semi beach formal: dressy but comfortable for an outdoor coastal setting. Avoid stilettos or narrow heels. Wedges, block heels, or flats are best for the ceremony and party area. Please steer clear of white, ivory, cream, eggshell or anything that might be confused for bridal. For ideas https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-to-a-beach-wedding

Question

Is The Ceremony outdoors?

Answer

Yes! The Wedding Bowl is a beautiful seaside cliff area, so dress comfortably for the weather. The ocean breeze can be cool even on sunny days. Use footwear that will do well on grass and concrete. Predicted temperature is set to be 52-64 degrees Fahrenheit.

Question

Is The Reception Outdoors?

Answer

Yes! The venue itself is entirely outdoor. It is located in a commercial neighborhood with a few residential homes (not the beach lol). There will be space heaters available throughout the venue. Use footwear that will do well on concrete, boardwalk wood, or synthetic beach sand. We will have space heaters, but consider bringing a jacket for when the night comes.

Question

Is transportation provided between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Transportation won’t be provided between the ceremony and reception, but both locations are about 25 minutes away from each other. We recommend driving yourself or carpooling.

Question

Does Good Life Resort have designated parking?

Answer

No. But there is plenty of street parking on Market Street, for free! The entrance to the venue is on Market Street. It's right next to the almost fancy-looking liquor shop.

Question

Can I stay at the Good Life Resort?

Answer

If you’re interested in this option, please reach out to us. Some onsite accommodations are available but must be booked in advance. These are shared spaces where other members of the wedding party may also be staying.

Question

Do I have to use the Wedding Registry?

Answer

The wedding registry is there to guide you. Please feel free to personalize your gift or make a contribution to our honeymoon fund! We are trying to visit England :) You can use the Zola option or send it to us directly.
