We grew up in the same neighborhood and were always the best of friends. There was always this undeniable attraction between us, but it seemed like our timing was never quite right. Either I had someone or Mike had someone. We always stayed in touch, and I knew what was going on in his life, and I’d share what was going on in mine. Then, on July 4th, 2009, we both had no plans for the holiday and decided to get together and go to the beach. That’s when everything changed.
