One of the most iconic lighthouses in Maine, The Goat Island Light Station was designed to help mariners find their way to sheltered Cape Porpoise Harbor. Built in 1833, this light station was one of the last to be automated. Located in Pemaquid Lighthouse Park. The only way to access this iconic lighthouse is by boat, and New England Eco Adventures is thrilled to partner with the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust as an approved tour of Goat Island Lighthouse.
Walk approx 1 mile up ocean ave from the Colony Hotel and you’ll arrive at this small park, where you get a great view of the Bush Estate at Walkers point! Ocean avenue is also a gorgeous road to walk, run, and bike along, lots of great views!
