We're Getting Married and Can't Wait to Celebrate with You!

It started with Mel living in California at the time and Matt living in Texas. Mel's close friend (who will become obvious during this story) asked Mel "why don't you date a nice guy?" and Mel said "well why don't you introduce me to a nice guy?"... friend says "the nicest and best guy I know lives in Texas"... Mel responds "well that doesn't help me out...". Fast forward to 2018, Mel moves from California to Texas on a whim, meanwhile Matt is doing Matt things (bass fishing, lifting weights, and living the bachelor life). It's July 3rd and the same friend (Bo Yurko cough cough) introduces Matt and Mel so they could "get together" on the 4th of July... Little did they know they were being intentionally setup and that weeks prior this friend had been planting seeds with Matt about how his best friend had recently moved to Texas. Funny side story - Matt thought Mel was a guy for two weeks because of the way the friend (Bo) had described Mel "my best friend who I fought MMA with"... Back to the story, Mel and Matt hit it off right away... neither of them looking to date anyone and being "over the dating scene." As they say, you find someone when you're least expecting it. Since Mel and Matt made it official in August of 2018, they moved to Colorado, acquired a fur family (2 dogs, a cat, a horse, chickens... the list goes on) and they go on many mountain and outdoorsy adventures... they've also taken on a few house projects ;) The two got engaged in November of 2024 and decided to have their wedding in a place that is special to both of them (Andersen Farms) and surrounded by all of the people they love (you all!).
