Maid of Honor
Twin, sister, and womb-mate. Melissa and Rebecca are eachother's Day 1s. Homies since birth. Throughout their childhood, Melissa could be seen at any given time trying to boss her sister around, and Rebecca could be seen barely tolerating Melissa's attention-seeking personality.
Matron of Honor
Lifelong friend and former roommate, Nicole met Melissa in high school on the track team. Nicole is the girl Melissa can always count on to match her psychotic energy, whether by dancing on tabletops in a bar where they'd prefer you didn't do that, or by harmonizing to "Stickwitu" by the Pussycat Dolls.
Bridesmaid
Dear friend and Brooklyn neighbor, Alyssa and Melissa hit it off their Junior year of college. Melissa can always rely on Alyssa to validate her trendy fashion choices, complain about the men their dating (but never Matt :)), and then go out and have the night of their lives.
Bridesmaid
Another fellow Brooklyn neighbor and dear friend, Alisa and Melissa bonded in college over their propensity to act extremely weird in public and then go home and have a deep conversation.
Bridesmaid
A friend since Middle School, Melissa has always been drawn to Natalia's genuine personality. Natalia makes Melissa a better person, be it through encouraging her to try out for the Middle School play (her and Natalia were co-stars), or by always being a strong, caring presence throughout the many trials and tribulations of their lives.
Best Man
David Mordzynski (please, call him "Mordy") is a strong candidate to get way too drunk at this wedding and say the wrong thing to the wrong person at the wrong time. He's also one of the most genuine, caring, and trustworthy guys Matt has ever known when he's not making obnoxious jokes at his expense. Definitely make sure you ask him about real estate investing and SMS marketing.
Groomsman
Eddie once challenged a kid to a game of beer pong for $1,000 dollars in high school — and won. Today he lives an influencer's life from his mansion in Bali, but he's never too big-time to hop on a call with Matt and talk about life. Everybody needs an Eddie: someone who listens, asks questions, and challenges you. Matt is a better person for knowing him.
Groomsman
The original college homie, Brian's list of exes is probably longer than our entire wedding guest list. From knowing him in college, it's hard to believe he got his act together, joined the military, and is now married (to one of those aforementioned exes) with two beautiful daughters. His example is an inspiration to Matt, and he looks forward to hitting Brian up for parenting advice soon.
Groomsman
Steve is a man's man — meaning he likes to drink too much and spend all night in the bar talking to other men. Steve and Matt spent most of their 20s together rummaging around every drinking establishment in Lower Manhattan (until they each met their respective wives). Matt loves Steve because he's just as likely to kiss you on the mouth as he is to punch you in the face when he's drunk.
Groomsman
The original college enemy, Ty will argue with anyone about anything at any time — even if he doesn't believe in his own arguement. Matt used to find this annoying, but Ty stuck with it so long (he's now a lawyer), that Matt eventually kind of admired it. Like an onion, Ty has many layers: he's a Bay Area tech bro, a Settlers of Catan enthusiast, a long-suffering Mets fan, and a below average skier. And the more layers Matt peels off, the more pungent the smell.
