Once upon a time...

We first met at a local game store. Melissa had recently moved to Austin, and was looking to make new friends, and started going there to start playing Magic: the Gathering again after some years. One day she brought in a package of Tiff's Treats to share. Matt wanders in, and seeing cookies for the taking, couldn't resist one. He asked who had brought them, and Chris (mutual friend) said, "Oh, it was Melissa". And of course Matt doesn't know who that is, and just shrugs (even as Melissa glares from across the room). And the whole time, Melissa thought Matt's name was Mike, and for the next two days, she thought to herself, "Ugh, I hate that Mike kid!" But about a week later, she saw Matt teaching kids how to play, and she saw that he liked explaining things, and later asked him for help herself. And again, he couldn't resist! From there we became friends, and then best friends, and then began dating. :)

And then lived happily ever after!
