Matt was stationed at Marine Corps Base Quantico for EWS. One afternoon, Matt went to the gym on base and saw Melissa. He was determined to talk to her. Matt saw that she had a Clemson backpack on while leaving work one day and realized that was his "in", because he graduated from Clemson! After discovering this, Matt began to wear Clemson t-shirts in hope that Melissa would notice him. One day at the gym, Matt walked up to Melissa at her desk to ask for a foam roller (a way to speak to her). While giving Matt the foam roller, Melissa made a small remark, "Go Clemson!" Matt's plan worked and he took his headphones out and began talking to Melissa! The rest is history! Go Tigers!
