We met when I was 12 years old, Mando was 11, at Lakeside Middle School. We had a mutual friend at the time that brought us together. Just a couple of kids not knowing what we were getting into. It only took one date for us to realize, this can be the start of something. That weekend following May 21, 2008 we went out on our first date to the movies. We saw some Indiana Jones movie (: Now 12 years later we are here!

Mando proposed 9 years after meeting and becoming a couple for the first time ever. A week before we had planned to take some fun cute pictures the day of our anniversary just because I really wanted to, so my sister took some pictures of us that Saturday, early afternoon. Little did I know, the biggest surprise of my life was about to happen. Mando had been planning this for about a month and after our picture session, we drove home because I wanted to the see how the pictures came out and he was rushing me to leave because we also had plans to celebrate his "moms birthday". We drove down to his aunts house and he was walking ahead of me while I was behind him and he opened the gate to his aunts backyard and I was so surprised to see my parents, sister, my whole family along with his whole family there. Cameras out and smiling. I look down and Mando is on one knee. I honestly thought it was a joke and I couldn't believe this was happening. He asked me to marry him and of course I said Yes! It was the best moment ever.
