Our story began December 30, 2017 when we briefly met at BB BBQ. We were seated at the same table and Melissa made Facebook friends with one of Lon close friends. Fast forward to pre season when Green Bay played the KC chiefs. Lon posted a picture attending the game tagging their mutual friend. Melissa sent Lon a friend request and we began talking. Our relationship has not only grown out of a love for the Packers ( Go Pack Go) but above all our relationship with Jesus Christ, whom we put first in our lives and our relationship. We have both gone through many struggles, those struggles while different allow us to relate and respect one another. God has transformed both of our lives and it’s out of our love for Christ and one another that we have chosen to be joined together as husband and wife. May our marriage truly reflect God’s endless love, grace and mercy. Lon: I want to say thank you Jesus for my angel on earth, Melissa. She is the most precious gift any man could receive. She is beautiful, intelligent, God fearing and loves this old country boy. I can not wait to walk side by side day by day with her in my life to have and to hold until we grow old. Melissa: Lon is my every dream come true. God asked me to write a list of what I wanted in a man and just when I gave up on love God sent Lon, the greatest man I have ever met. My person! He is my rock, my sunshine who has brightened my life. His love for me has changed my life in such a short time and makes me desire to become a better woman.
