We met in Kevin's home town at Fort's Old Town Tavern. I was in school at Ashland University and went to visit a mutual friend for the night. Most would say it was fate for those who know us because we met while standing at the bar waiting for a drink.
Melissa's P.O.V.: Kevin and I had a date-day where he had planned our first stop at a spa for the two of us. After the spa, he suggested that we go to one of our favorite restaurants, J. Gilberts for dinner and called my parents to see what "they were up too." I didn't think much of it since we go to dinner with my parents pretty often. We finished dinner and paid the tabs. I went to the restroom with my mom before heading home. When we returned to the table and sat down. Kevin looked at me and said, "Well Melissa, this has been a good day... lets make it a great one". He instantly slid off the booth seat, got down on one knee and said, "Melissa, will you marry me?" Needless to say, I was in complete shock! Through happy tears streaming down, I was able to get the three letter word out, YES! My mom stands up and yells to the entire restaurant, "We have an engagement here, we have an engagement, my daughter's getting married!!!!". Kevin was right, it made for the GREAT day! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. Can't wait to see you in December!
