FAQs

If you have any additional questions that are not listed here, please reach out to Melissa or Joe. Thank you so much!
Question

What time should I arrive, and when does the ceremony start?

Answer

We recommend arriving at (or before) 3:00pm, for pre-wedding snacks and mingling! We are asking everyone to be seated for the ceremony by 3:45pm, and the big event starts at 4:00pm!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony and reception will be at the same venue and there is more than enough parking for all guests!

Question

Is there a seating chart for the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

For the ceremony, the first row is reserved for the immediate family of the bride and groom. Otherwise, it is open seating for the ceremony and reception!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please let Melissa or Joe know when you RSVP, so we can let our caterer know. We'll be happy to accommodate you.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception is not overly formal, so please wear what you feel best in for the occasion. Weather permitting the ceremony will be outside, so please take this into account when picking your shoes. Please leave your sweats, flip flops and tank tops at home. :)

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

Melissa and Joe are not formally registered, as we have a ton of blenders already, and a house full of stuff. :) If you would like to send a gift, we would love a contribution to our honeymoon.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes, kids of all ages are welcome!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are not many hotel options in Orting itself. However, there are several hotels in Puyallup (a 20 minute drive), and Tacoma (a 30 minute drive). Please reach out to Melissa or Joe and we can help you select a hotel that will fit your needs.

Question

Will there be alcohol served?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be "dry" events. This means alcohol will not be served, and is not allowed on the premises or the event will be shut down by the venue staff. Thank you for understanding!
