Things To Do

Staying through the weekend? There's so much to explore in the area. Check out some of our favorites!
Valley Forge National Historical Park

Valley Forge National Historical Park

1400 North Outer Line Drive, King of Prussia, PA 19406

The wedding venue is actually within the bounds of this national historical park - a place that is special to us as a couple! We've enjoyed many dates here including long walks, hikes through the woods, picnics, and taking in the monuments and history. For the history buffs, there is a small Revolutionary War museum in the Visitor's Center and various monuments around the park. You can walk through George Washington's headquarters and reconstructed log huts. Many of the sites are accessible by car if you don't want to walk all day. For those who like physical activity, there are tons of paved and unpaved trails for walking, hiking, running, or bike riding. The picnic areas are great for a more relaxed outdoor experience.

King of Prussia Mall

King of Prussia Mall

160 North Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406

The third largest mall in America! And only 10-15 minutes from the venue. As King of Prussia residents, the mall is kind of our namesake. It lives up to the hype. Unlike most malls nowadays, it's very alive, well maintained, and oh yeah...Huge! For those of you who know how much we love our long walking adventures - yes, we have walked every corridor of every floor of this 2.9 million square foot building.

King of Prussia Town Center

King of Prussia Town Center

155 Village Drive, King of Prussia, PA 19406

A nice nearby spot for dinner or drinks! We go here often. Variety of food from very casual to upscale. There are also some shops and lots of outdoor seating where you can just hang out or enjoy an ice cream from Kilwin's.

Longwood Gardens

Longwood Gardens

1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348

We absolutely LOVE this place. It is truly one of our favorite places and means a lot to us. We had our third date here where we fell in love with the beauty of the gardens and with each other. We have been back several times and always find something we haven't seen before. It's about 40 minutes from the venue but worth the drive if you like botanical gardens and fountain shows. Be sure to get your admissions tickets online ahead of time.

Philadelphia

Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA

In about 45-minutes you can reach the center of Philadelphia. Some Philly favorites include the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the Rocky statue and steps, the art museum, and touring the Eastern State Penitentiary. Don't forget to grab a cheesesteak for lunch! (Check out the famous rivals, Pat's versus Geno's)
