We met at a job we both had in Texas and out of the thousands of guys in Frisco I remember thinking, this one looks different. Our first conversation he proved me right. I was complaining to a group of co-workers about my latest run in with a 'Frisco Guy' who kept showing me pictures of his Mercedes and giant 2 story house he had just purchased and was looking to re-model. The salesman in me tried to ignore his blatant flirtations and attempts to impress me with monetary possessions just in case he might actually be in the store to buy something...he didn't. I was also questioning why 'Frisco Guys' all get new expensive sedans and sports cars and if girls are actually impressed by those things since I've always been a fan of bigger trucks myself. So after this story and some other similar ones, Jason stuck out his hand to re-introduce himself and said, "Hi, I'm Jason, I'm poor and drive a truck."...needless to say I was hooked.
It's Thanksgiving Day and I'm cooking for Jason's entire family at our house when his Step-Dad, Brian, brings everyone to attention for prayer before we eat. I'm confused when Brian doesn't say anything and just stares at Jason but don't think much as my mind in preoccupied with the green beans that are still in the oven and how much longer they might need. Eventually after everyone stares at Brian for what seems like forever I see Jason get down on one knee out of the corner of my eye. I hugged him, still very much in shock and after a good half minute of silence his Uncle shouts, "what's the answer!?", "Oh, YES!" and we were engaged.
