Mendenhall Glacier
There is the visitor center where there are some amazing photo opportunities. There are maps that can lead you to several hikes. Make sure you take water with you. There is also a bear viewing area near by.
Mount Roberts Tramway
One of our favorite stops! There are lovely short hikes at the top of the tramway where you are able to get amazing views of Downtown Juneau, Gastineau Channel and Douglas Island. There are native art displays with a huge gift store as well as a restaurant.
Alaska State Museum
A beautiful museum that has been recently renovated. It has an extensive collection of Native Alaska and gold mining history.
Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness
A wonderful experience if you have the time as this is an all day trip. Tickets include lunch and some great photo opportunities. If you plan on enjoying this experience, book your tickets ahead of time.
National Shrine of St. Thérèse
Located on 46 acres overlooking the Lynn Canal, this shrine is the patron saint of Alaska and offers a peaceful retreat in the wilderness of the Tongass National Forest.
DIPAC Macaulay Salmon Hatchery
This is a tour of the DIPAC hatchery. This salmon hatchery was established sustain and enhance valuable salmon resources of the State of Alaska for the economic, social, and cultural benefit of all citizens.
Downtown Juneau
Downtown Juneau gets extremely busy during July but definitely worth the short walk around the area.
Tahku: The Whale Sculpture
A short trip to see a grand statue of a majestic creature in an amazingly beautiful setting.
