Nature Walks
Most of these places are a short drive away, but we highly recommend: 🌿 Ashridge Estate is a National Trust site and is home to 5,000 acres of woodland, with many gorgeous spots for a picnic! There are 80 miles of footpaths, with 4 key way-marked trails. Ivinghoe Beacon has views of the surrounding countryside and is on the 8 mile 'Wildlife Walk' 🌿 The grand union canal path - walk as far as you like with multiple pubs en route for refreshments. At this time of year on a sunny day, all the baby swans, ducks, and geese are out swimming. Melissa sometimes cycles this route from Hemel to Watford and its one of her favourite parts of the work day! 🌿 Some areas we haven't tried yet but that come highly recommended by other locals: Wendover Woods - Firecrest Trail, Dunstable Downs, Tring Reservoir
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London
The WB Studio Tour is about 30 minutes from Ashridge House and is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the area. Herries actually used to work here for a while, so if you book tickets then check in with him for some visitor tips! Be aware that tickets tend to book up a few months in advance
